2022 CRFT Blefari Chardonnay

Candice and Frewin are the husband + wife team behind CRFT Wines, a boutique winery that specialises in small-batch, single vineyard wines from the Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley. Their wines reflect the individuality of each site, soil and season, showcasing the diversity and terroir of South Australia.

Candice, a Barossa native, has over 20 years of winemaking experience, working with some of the most renowned wineries in the state. She has a passion for Chardonnay, Gruner Veltliner and Pinot Noir, and loves to explore new and exciting expressions of these varieties. Frewin, from New Zealand, started his winemaking career at the age of 17, working at Cloudy Bay in Marlborough. He has since travelled and worked around the world, gaining a wealth of knowledge and expertise in making single-vineyard wines, especially Pinot Noir.

Together, they founded CRFT Wines in 2012, after a life-changing trip to Europe and the United States, where they were inspired by the wines and stories of some of the world’s most famous wine regions. They also fulfilled their dream of owning their own vineyard, purchasing the Arranmore Vineyard in the Piccadilly Valley in 2016, which they converted to organic farming.
