Varietal: Nebbiolo, Dolcetto
Region: Piemonte, IT
Winemaker: Nadia Curto

The 2022 Curto ‘L’Informale’ Vino Rosso is a bright and juicy blend of old-vine Dolcetto and young-vine Nebbiolo. A departure from the structured and age-worthy Barolos of the region, this wine is made for everyday enjoyment, embracing the "L’Informale" philosophy - uncomplicated, vibrant, and made for sharing.Vinified in stainless steel with a short maceration, L’Informale bursts with fresh red fruit - strawberries, cherries, and raspberries - layered with floral notes of honeysuckle and a touch of spice. It’s lively and fruit-forward, with the Dolcetto lending richness and the Nebbiolo adding delicate tannins and a hint of earthiness. Balanced acidity keeps it zippy yet ultimately refreshing.

About the Winemaker
Nadia Curto | Curto

Nadia Curto was born into a lineage of vignerons, with her father Marco recognized as a master in the vineyards and her uncle, the legendary Barolo winemaker Elio Altare, serving as a major influence. Initially pursuing a degree in Economics at the University of Torino, Nadia ultimately followed her passion, joining the family winery full-time in 2002. She quickly left her mark on Curto, blending tradition with her own perspective - eschewing strict labels of "modernist" or "traditionalist" and instead focusing on producing exceptional wines that speak for themselves. Marco tends to the vineyards with a deep understanding of the land, while Nadia leads the winemaking, embracing organic and sustainable practices. Their portfolio spans Barolo, Dolcetto, Langhe Nebbiolo, and Freisa, with an ethos that values patience, purity, and expression over manipulation.
