Varietal: Chenin Blanc
Region: Swartland, RSA
Winemaker: Jolandie Fouché

The 2023 Chenin Blanc is a beautifully structured and expressive wine crafted from four distinct bush vine sites, all over 35 years old and farmed sustainably without irrigation. The vineyards - three in the Paardeberg and one in Malmesbury - bring together the freshness and minerality of decomposed granite soils with the richness and texture imparted by iron-rich clay.

On the nose, it’s all bright citrus, sweet lemon, and stone fruit, complemented by subtle spice and florals, while the palate is fresh and electric with bright acidity and luscious texture. Just delicious.

About the Winemaker
Jolandie Fouché | Wolf + Woman

Jolandie Fouché grew up in the Swartland, where her childhood was spent exploring the vineyards and developing a deep connection to the land. After studying at Elsenburg Agricultural Training Institute, she honed her craft through international harvests in Australia and California before spending over a decade working in the South African wine industry.

In 2018, Jolandie founded Wolf & Woman Wines, a project born from her passion for Swartland’s old vines and minimal-intervention winemaking. She now runs the winery full-time, crafting wines that are both expressive and pure, reflecting the untamed beauty of her home region.
