2021 Silkman Reserve Chardonnay

Liz and Shaun Silkman have been crafting award-winning wines since their first vintage at Silkman Wines in 2013. They also work at First Creek Wines, where Liz is the Chief Winemaker and Shaun is the Chief Operating Officer. They somehow manage to balance their demanding careers with their family life, raising two young girls and a baby boy.

Liz and Shaun's wines reflect their love and care for the Hunter Valley region and its vineyards. They use only the finest fruit to make wines that range from bold reds to zesty whites. They produce limited quantities of each wine, focusing on quality over quantity. Their goal is to create wines that showcase the unique characteristics of both the Hunter Valley and individual vineyards.

Liz and Shaun have earned many accolades for their work. Silkman Wines was named the top Hunter Valley winery in Huon Hooke’s Top 50 wineries of Australia and one of James Halliday’s Wine Companion’s 10 Best New Wineries in Australia. Liz is also the only person (not just female!) to have won the Hunter Valley Winemaker of the Year award three times.
