A wild, untamed beauty. ‘Pazza’, Italian for "crazy," is just what this 2021 Riesling from Kerri Thompson is - wild fermented, preservative-free, unfined, and unfiltered. Sourced from the dry-grown Peglidis vineyard in Watervale, Pazza is fermented in a blend of stainless steel and fifteen-year-old French oak barrels for 12 months, lending complexity and mild structure to it's riotous character. It's dry, yet it dances gently on the palate with layers of mineral-driven quince, ginger, and a hint of lemongrass.

Kerri Thompson | Wines by KT

As we often find of our wonderful female winemakers, Kerri Thompson’s journey into winemaking was anything but typical (is there such a thing?) She’s been calling the Clare Valley home since 1998, but it was a career in food technology that unexpectedly led her to fall in love with winemaking. After managing Leasingham Wines for years, she took the leap and started her own label, Wines by KT, in 2006, pouring all her energy into her one true love - Riesling. With a deep connection to the land and our favoured “let the vineyard speak for itself” approach, Kerri’s wines are all about showcasing the spirit of the Clare Valley.

Wines by KT is a little gem tucked away in Watervale, right in the heart of Clare Valley, South Australia. Kerri Thompson’s focus is on making wines that truly reflect the region’s unique terroir, with Riesling being her specialty. She’s all about sustainable, organic, and biodynamic farming practices, working closely with local growers in the Clare Valley to produce wines that are beyond anything, authentic and singularly delicious.
