About the winemaker
Tash Webster is the founder and winemaker of Empire Wines, a boutique label based in the Moorabool Valley, Geelong. Her journey to winemaking began when she moved to Geelong with her young family while working as a vet nurse. A winemaker who lived across the road invited her to help with some barrel work. The rest, as she says, is history. Since then, she has worked with some of the best winemakers in Geelong and beyond.
Tash is a music and pop culture lover, and her wines are named after songs that inspire her. She likes to let the wines speak for themselves, and has a passion for using native varietals and minimal intervention techniques. Her wines are made with heart, integrity, and a little edge.
