IWM: Taste With The Winemaker ~ Emily Kinsman of ECK Wines

A whole month of events spotlighting conversations, connection, and conscious choices in honour of IWD.

We're thrilled to welcome winemaker Emily Kinsman up from Heathcote VIC to Newtown, on Friday 7th March, to celebrate International Women's DAY with us!

Originally a Corporate Litigation Lawyer, Emily’s Label ECK Wines was borne out of a love to create and wanting life to be "of the land". Launched in 2019, Emily strives to make compelling New World wines from traditional French varieties in her Core Range with some nouveau styles adding interest to her Appellation Range.

In addition to farming her own plot of Shiraz in Central Heathcote and leasing a closely planted 5-acre vineyard of Pinot Noir and Gewürztraminer in the Macedon Ranges, Emily works closely with three growers in Heathcote and the Macedon Ranges; her wines tell the story of place, people and play.

Emily will be pouring 4 of her wines in a wine flight, showcasing the differences between her Core and Appellation Ranges. We'd love you to join us to taste these wines, they're so, so beautiful!

A friend and I attended one of the events held here - An Intro to Natural Wines - and WOW. Amelia was our teacher for the night and went above and beyond, really taking her time with our group to teach us about the natural wines. The selections were delicious and we learnt so much.
