International Women's...MARCH is coming to Famelia, and we're thrilled to be presenting a program of events that make space for real connection, real learning, and actual change.

Actual - meaningful, positive, safe - change can often feel impossible. We can so clearly see the problems, the potential, the paths forward, but the sheer scale of it all - especially in the unsteady world we find ourselves in at the moment - can feel overwhelming. So we often freeze, do nothing, feel guilty, and the damn cycle continues.

When considering the imminence of International Women's Day (March 7th), I decided to flip the script. Let's be honest, at Famelia we celebrate and honour women every day, and the tokenism of giving women a figurative 'pat on the back' 1/365 days annoyed me, so I decided I want to really dig in and set ourselves a challenge in the face of this years theme: 'Accelerate Action'.

I wondered how we could create achievable actions within our own lives that help us feel a little more motivated, and a little less overwhelmed...? And then I imagine the kind of empowerment and resilience we might be able to build into our lives as a collective!

So, I invite you - curious, open-minded, inspiring - women, men, non-binary people - to engage, to connect, to learn, and to reflect - with me, and with each other.
